If you have a need and think we can help, please contact us. We’d love to hear from you.
If we can help, we will. If we think someone else would be better able to assist, we will suggest that. But in all cases we will want to be as supportive as we can, providing a listening ear, prayer, and any practical support that we’re able to offer.
Some of the main ways we provide practical help are:
The Community Cupboard, our food bank, available to anyone who is struggling to put food on the table for any reason
Our Community Care Fund, which gives financial assistance to individuals, couples or families for times of crisis or emergency need
Some of the other ways we serve the community, and external courses we recommend, are:
The Community Lunch on Tuesdays, 11.30 to 1pm, in St Mary’s Church in Goudhurst
The CAP Life Skills course, which looks at topics such as budgeting, cutting costs, nutrition, health, mental wellbeing, communication, and relationships.
The Marriage Course - for married couples, whether your relationship is great or whether there are tensions. The course is designed to help couples invest in their relationship and build a strong marriage. We sometimes run this course in person at St Mary’s church, but it is available all the time online - see the Marriage Course website for details.
Restored Lives, for those recovering from separation or divorce. This is an online course run by Holy Trinity Church Brompton in London but available to anyone.
If your need is something else, please still get in touch and we’ll either be able to help ourselves, or we’ll try to signpost you to someone who can.
The Safeguarding page has details of organisations offering support for various kinds of need.
