Finance and giving are an important part of church life, and a source of much blessing.
We believe that everything we have comes from God, and that giving is part of our response to him. We want to do what he wants with all areas of our lives, including our money; it is the generosity of the church family that enables us to pursue our vision.
One of the famous Bible passages on giving is: “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9: 6-9)
We don’t receive any financial support from the Government or the central Church of England. The vast majority of our income comes from the generous giving of individuals and families.
